Final edits are coming along well! I’m probably 90% done with this draft and the changes it needs made. There’s just one problem: I’ve been recording myself reading my manuscript to play it back for editing and ohmylord am I awkward to listen to. I’m so not reading my actual book when it comes out. I’ll save up money and pay someone to do it.
That said, autumn is in full swing! It’s one of my favorite times of the year and I’m so excited for it to finally properly be here. The leaves are changing, the temperature is dropping, and the excuses to have coffee and cocoa and apple cider are rising.
I’ve also started drafting my first (maybe annual?) “I did a bunch of stuff this year and wanted to ramble about it!” blog post, though that’ll be published at the end of this year as a cap-off to the things I liked (or in some cases, didn’t like) and wanted to talk about here. Things are exciting, and I feel like I’m on decent track for everything to be on schedule (C U R R E N T L Y) for the year’s end.
