Evacuations and Priorities

Hey world. This one’s not gonna be a huge post, more just a personal update. We had some massive fires in our area recently (and a few that’ve started again afterward). My partner and I are safe, so is our place, but we were evacuated and a lot of people weren’t as lucky. Been a bit of a stressful time, but things are okay (you know, relatively) as of now.

Book progress is coming along good :] I’ve started recording when I read the chapters aloud so I can play them back later and see if things sound/feel off. Overall, barring a few tweaks and the smaller, easier to miss changes, it’s feeling good. Obviously, that’s more for my editor to decide, but I’m hoping I’ve learned enough to at least get further with this draft (and if not, then I’ll keep learning).

I’ve finished the Narnia series! It was interesting, but I’m not sure how likely I’ll be to read it again. Fall is almost here. I can’t wait. I’m so excited.

Other than that? Everything is back on track, so I’ll keep this one short. Stay safe, y’all :]
