PJ: The Last Olympian — Personal Jackson and the Life-altering Swim

We’re here! This is the final fight, the battle for New York! Percy and friends are here and there’s no going back. A war unlike any other has swept through NYC, and it’s up to our gang of woefully underprepared teenagers to stop the armies of Kronos. This is the fifth and final book in the original PJ series and it kicks off with a quite-literal boom. Bruised and battered, running out of allies and quite literally fighting time, Percy and friends must fight to not only stop Kronos’ march but keep him from tearing down the foundation of the Gods themselves.

It’s one of my favorite books in the series (tied with 1 and just above 3 & 4) and caps off most if not all of the threads that the series has been setting up. It resolves a lot of the issues the characters were facing and does so in a way I really enjoy. It’s been fun reading these books again after what’s been like 12-ish years, and to read them side-by-side with my mom has been the best part. Thanks mom. I wouldn’t be here writing this if you hadn’t kept me reading in the first place.

We’re onto the next books in the series now, so this isn’t over! But for now, having finally finished the saga, I can say that I recommend these books (yes, even if they came out a while ago! Books don’t have to be new to be good).

with that all said and done, let’s do a fun little game! Favorite things throughout the whole PJ series!

My favorite characters? Percy & Annabeth

My most relatable character? Percy, for sure

Favorite god? Poseidon, he reminds me of my dad sometimes :]

Favorite side character? Tied between Chiron and Grover

Favorite location visited? Probably the dam dam

Favorite villain? Kronos (and everything attached to him)
